Beyonce At 2018 Coachella
With guest appearances by husband Jay Z, sister Solange and a reunited Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé made history with her 2 hour performance at Coachella.
Coachella! Coachella!! Coachella!!! For the hip and cool kids, we know that Coachella valley music and arts festival popularly referred to as Coachella is an experience on its own.
The best performance for the current 2018 edition is the queen herself, Beyoncé, serving fire as usual. Everyone’s wigs were snatched. It is still amazing how a mother of 3 kids, yes 3 kids can pull that much energy on stage. A super woman, everybody was in awe, oh my God!
I’m sorry and not sorry but if you do not belong to the beyhive or even rate Beyoncé, then you are cancelled #BeyChella. She gave a two hour performance that many are calling the best in the history of Coachella. She even earned plaudits from a lot of Nigerians. This is because she paid homage to late Nigerian Afro beats legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti. Her band played excerpts of abami eda’s song during her act.
Her performance started out with her coming out dressed as a modern-day Cleopatra, revealing herself at the end of a cat walk behind dancers led by a Black Panther mascot.
“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Beyoncé homecoming 2018,” is the announcement made as a full marching band and orchestra take position on a pyramid structure on the stage. Before the first song kicks in, Beyoncé has changed outfits into booty shorts and a jersey and starts singing with Crazy in Love.
You can also watch a re-run of Beyonce’s set on the official Coachella YouTube channel below starting at approximately 12 pm ET.
